A store fixture has one job: put product in front of a customer at the right height, in the right light, in a way that looks like the brand. Everything else — the joinery, the substrate, the finish schedule — exists to serve that.
Leewood is a store fixture manufacturer based in Toronto. We build custom retail fixtures and display casework for brands, retailers, designers, and the general contractors running their build-outs across the GTA and beyond. Every fixture is drawn, cut, assembled, and finished under one roof at our 40,000 square foot facility.

Most of what separates a good fixture from a cheap one is the finish, and most shops send that work outside. We don't. Leewood runs two spray booths in-house, which means the finish schedule is ours to control from first coat to final rub-out — and a colour that needs matching gets matched here, not three weeks later at a vendor across town.
We work in high-pressure laminate and thermofoil for durability on high-touch surfaces, in natural and reconstituted wood veneer where the grain has to carry the brand, and in solid surface, painted MDF, and catalysed lacquer where the spec calls for a seamless face. Metal, glass, acrylic and integrated lighting come in through our supply partners and get assembled into the fixture before it leaves the floor.

From shop drawings
to opening day.
Drawings first. We produce shop drawings from your design intent — architectural drawings, a brand standards manual, or a sketch and a conversation. Everything gets dimensioned, sectioned, and approved before a sheet is cut, because a fixture that's wrong on paper is wrong in the store.
Then the floor. Cutting, edgebanding, and assembly run in-house. Architectural woodwork and casework are built to the approved drawings, then move straight into finishing rather than sitting in a queue waiting on an outside vendor.
Then site. We deliver and install, coordinating with the general contractor and the site schedule. For multi-location programs we build to a fixed standard so store eleven matches store one, and we stage deliveries against the rollout calendar rather than the shop's convenience.

Leewood has been building millwork in Toronto since 1998. Store fixtures are not a sideline we picked up — retail is where a lot of our work lives, alongside commercial interiors and residential cabinetry, and the standards carry across all three.
Because drawing, fabrication, and finishing all happen in the same building, there is one party accountable for the result. No handoff between a fabricator and a finisher, no schedule that depends on someone else's queue, and no argument about whose problem a colour mismatch is.

What's the difference between store fixtures and millwork?
In practice the words overlap. “Store fixtures” usually means the merchandising pieces — gondolas, display units, cash desks, wall systems. “Retail millwork” tends to describe the built-in architectural woodwork around them: feature walls, ceilings, service counters, fitting rooms. Leewood builds both, and on most projects they arrive on the same truck.
Do you work from our drawings, or produce your own?
Either. If you have a design firm and a full architectural set, we produce shop drawings from it and submit for approval. If you have a concept and a brand standard, we can develop the fixture design with you. Either way nothing gets built until dimensioned shop drawings are signed off.
Can you handle a multi-location rollout?
Yes. Repeatable fixture programs are built to a fixed standard so units are interchangeable between locations, and deliveries are staged against the rollout schedule. Consistency across stores is the whole point of a program, and it is mostly a drawing-control problem rather than a manufacturing one.
Do you install, or supply only?
Both. Most clients take supply and install, and we coordinate directly with the general contractor on site. Supply-only is available if you have your own installation crew.
What's a realistic lead time?
It depends on scope, finish schedule, and how quickly drawings are approved — approvals are the usual bottleneck, not the shop. Send the scope and we will give you a real date rather than an optimistic one.
Where do you work?
Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area primarily — Mississauga, Vaughan, Brampton, Markham, Scarborough, Etobicoke, North York, Oakville, Burlington and Richmond Hill — with Ontario-wide delivery and installation on larger programs.
